Description
Built in 1816, Brixton Windmill is the only surviving
windmill in inner London (three miles from Charing Cross).
In September 2011 the windmill reopened to the public after
extensive restoration, thanks to funding and efforts by the
Heritage Lottery Fund, Lambeth Council and the Friends of
Windmill Gardens. For more information, see
