Description
A small village on the southernmost border of Cumbria with
an amazing community spirit. It has a parish council, a
memorial hall, a primary school, a church, a multi-use games
area, a children's playground, a village store & post
office, a pub, and a host of small businesses. At either end
of the village is a business centre providing employment and
premises for businesses, and whilst agriculture is still
important, many farmers have diversified into new areas.
Within the village there are groups and
