Gary McKinnon (born 10 February 1966) is a Scottish systems
administrator and hacker who suffers from an autism spectrum
disorder compounded by clinical depression. In 2001, he was
accused of what one U.S. prosecutor claimed was the "biggest
military computer hack of all time", although Gary McKinnon
himself states that he was merely looking for evidence of
free energy suppression and a cover-up of UFO activity and
other technologies potentially useful to the public. After a
series of legal proceedings in

There are real dangerous criminals out there on the run but instead of going after them, they are wasting taxpayer's money hounding this poor kid who is really ill. And let's not forget, it wasn't even really a hack, there weren't any passwords or firewalls on the computers in question. The extradition offence of damage caused is unsubstantiated and implausible. If a British citizen can be extradited on exaggerated or groundless (made up) allegations, there clearly is something VERY wrong with the legislation and those who would defend it.
