Description
White Nancy is a folly which overlooks Bollington and Rainow
stood high upon Kerridge Hill. Somehow (!), a long time ago,
it was built as a Summerhouse for the Gaskell Family who
resided in Bollington in 1815! It has also been rumoured
that a White Horse named Nancy carried the brick up the
hill, which was how it got it's name. It is a quick but
steep walk up to the top of White Nancy, and she receives
many visits everyday from Dog Walkers and Ramblers to
Runners and Mountain Bikers! Your heart will be pumping,
